Cole and Gracie met in high school and began dating the summer going into their sophomore year. Their love story includes college memories, ice cream dates, and playing with their puppy, Nico. Who – by the way – was such a good boy he got to stay and enjoy their reception with them. The Priest at Blessed Sacrament shared some of their thoughts on how they knew they were ready to commit to forever. Of course they love spending time together, have been there for each other through some of life’s highs and lows. But it touched me so much when Gracie said that Cole is her favorite person to pray with. What a great foundation to build their marriage on.
So much thought and care was put into their wedding planning. From special charms on grandma’s corsage and Gracie’s bouquet, photos on the backs of their dad’s ties and Cole’s tie, custom perfume and cologne for their parents, and sharing a dance with their parents who shared a first dance song. I could go on and on.
It was so important to Gracie and Cole that they be married in a church, and that they save the moment of seeing each other for the aisle. Before the ceremony, they did a ‘first touch’. Holding hands around the door, reading their personal vows to one another, and taking a breath as they got ready for “I do”.
And, I can’t not mention their amazing wedding party! Cole and Gracie – it was so fun seeing you two surrounded by the people who care so much about you. You are a group who know how to have fun together. But also, it was obvious you are all there for each other as well, not just in the fun but in the lows as well. The bridesmaids did such a good job helping Gracie throughout the day, whether carrying her dress, or making a wall to block her from guest’s view before the ceremony, they were absolutely one step ahead and doing everything they could to make it the best day ever. And, the guys were great too. Always ready to help Cole with anything he needed and up for lots of fun during their photos.
