Married at the end of November on a chilly Wisconsin day, Lucy and Weston were surrounded by family and friends ready to support them through life’s journey and the years of their marriage ahead.
They chose to be married in Grace Church (Viroqua, WI) and celebrated the reception in Desoto, WI at the Retreat Center. I absolutely loved the colors they chose, with the bridesmaids in long, flowy dresses of black, tan and a beautiful shade of fall orange. The flowers and the men’s black suits complimented everything perfectly. So many people poured their hearts into this wedding and everything came together so well. The donut dessert, delicious meal, and joyful hearts. Also, shoutout to Magpie Gelato in Viroqua for letting us use their space to take some of the formal photos in!! The weather didn’t cooperate for all the photos outside and they were the perfect plan B.
Heartfelt speeches get me teary eyed every time. But something about this day was even deeper. Maybe it’s because as a best friend to Lucy’s older sister I got to watch her grow into the woman she is today. Lucy has quite a few older siblings who spoke, her dad and mom both spoke from their hearts, and her grandparents added to the story as well. A common theme: Protectiveness. Everyone loves Lucy. Her carefree spirit. Trusting heart. Joyful presence. Weston entered her life and it didn’t take long for her family to fall in love with him as well. He brings out the fun and best in everyone and together they make such a great couple.
Lucy and Weston – I’m so excited to continue to watch your love grow and blossom. It’s been a joy to capture this phase of your love story and I wish you all the best in your future together ♥ .
