It has been such a joy getting to know Brock and Mia better through their engagement session, the wedding planning process and ultimately on their wedding day. Brock works for a local Ag service, Reddy Ag, so with my husband being a farmer we see him throughout the year at Customer dinners and occasionally when Brock makes a visit to the farm. But, I’d never gotten to know Mia. She has such a sweet, calm spirit and presence about her. Their whole wedding day was so well thought out. No chaos or moments of panic and rush. Everything just flowed from the getting ready process, throughout the ceremony and photos and the reception as well. The staff at the Waterfront Hotel in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin definitely had a huge role in the day as well and they did a wonderful job keeping everything perfect. Setting up the ceremony and reception sites, organizing the décor, serving and preparing the delicious meal and dessert bar, they had a system and it worked amazing. Not to mention the fact that they have the most gorgeous bridal suite.
Honestly though, while the whole day was so sweet and joyful, the moment that choked me up the most was as her Maid of Honor and sister gave her toast. I have several sisters myself so could completely relate as she talked about the ups and downs of sisterly love. The wind was picking up outside. Emotions were high as Mia held in the tears – and I’m sure her Mama was as well watching her two beautiful girls share this moment. Their childhood arguments, their late night adventures, through thick and thin. “You’re the one person, no matter how much I yell or vent, I know you’ll always love me and be there for me”
Brock and Mia – I wish you a lifetime of happiness and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for the two of you. It was such an honor to capture your wedding day.
