Buddy and Julia drove down from the Twin Cities for their engagement session in La Crosse. So many things I love about this session and about this couple. For the session? Well for one, it was the perfect fall evening. We found a really pretty colorful patch of trees (even if everywhere else in the area was still green). Julia really wanted some variety in the session so after 20 minutes or so, we did an outfit change and headed for downtown La Crosse. It has been quite a while since I’ve been downtown and we had so much fun! The light was fading fast but we took advantage of what was there and I looove the way they turned out. It was a scene straight out of a movie.
These two though. I loved the mutual respect that was so apparent in their relationship. They were both building each other up throughout the session. Even though the rest of their day didn’t go as planned, I’m so glad we got to have the perfect engagement session. I got to hear all about the proposal too. How Buddy literally made the beautiful ring box. How he wanted her to be part of the process though so that she could pick out her own ring. How he managed to still surprise her on their trip in Door County.
I know I’m going to love their wedding next year at Celebrations on the River. It will be here before we know it!
