Chase and Danielle are one of the sweetest, most authentic couples. Watching them interact with each other, you could tell they love to have fun and mess with each other. Yet, there was also a deepness there. Chase said in his vows that in the four years they’ve been together, they’ve never fought. Never chose to leave. Never chose the ‘easy’ way. No. These two have stood by each other’s side through some great times. But also, through heartbreak and sorrow. When cancer took Chase’s mom, Danielle was there to help him through. She was not only there for him, but for his daughters. His sisters. His family. And they’ve all come through the darkness closer than ever. The thoughtfulness these two put into their day to keep her close was overwhelming and beautiful. Chase wore her photo on a pin on his vest. Danielle had it on her bouquet, and surprised his sisters with her photo charm on their bouquets as well. Cindy’s twin sister was there to pin on Chase’s boutonniere and dance the mother/son dance in her place. Chase and Danielle – I can only imagine how proud and joyful Cindy must feel when she looks down on the life you’re building together.
All week leading up to June 10th, the forecast showed rain. Which the ground surely needed, but the outdoor ceremony did not… It worked out so perfectly in the end. The sun was out for their beautiful wedding ceremony on the golf course. Right on the lake with the forest pines in the background. Then, when the rain came the whole wedding party totally embraced it. We did a few photos under the umbrellas, but eventually decided just to have fun and let the photos show how their day really went. Since everyone was spattered with rain drops, I thought, why not add champagne? So we had fun spraying champagne in the rain.
The lake, the country vibe, the beautiful northern feel. The emotions. The surprise first look with Chase’s daughters. The touching first look with Danielle. The reception filled with their engagement photos. The way everyone treated us like we were part of the family. The soft, neutral colors. The song Chase (a musician) recorded for Danielle to walk down the aisle too. The fact that I got to spend the whole day with my sister, Jessica, as an assistant so I could take both photos and video. The laughter and fun from the whole bridal party. The way Danielle and Chase would be naturally holding hands throughout the day. How excited they were to finally be husband and wife. Gosh, I could just go on and on.
Chase and Danielle – I wish you both the absolute best in your life together. You planned such a special day and I was so so honored to capture it.
