John and Aimee’s wedding day was nothing short of amazing. From the gorgeous florals (looking at you Wildflowers Special Events), the way the blush and sage complimented each other, the men’s tan pants with suspenders, the bridesmaid’s beautiful dresses – each a unique style, but the same lovely color of sea-foam green from Dream’s Bridal Boutique. Aimee’s eye for detail didn’t miss a thing when she coordinated their wedding day.
But my favorite thing, was how much joy, excitement, and happiness just poured out of Aimee. Her and John both have poured their hearts out, waiting for this day. And now it’s here. I loved watching them move through their first dance together. Both Aimee’s mom and John’s mom were standing nearby. Watching their two kids, now grown and in love. The way Aimee looked up to John like she would never stop smiling. The way John’s eye’s shown as he smiled back. These two are committed for the long haul. Through thick and thin. Good times and bad.
And it’s not just them. They’re families were both standing around them, covering them in support. All four parents stood during the ceremony, surrounding the newlyweds, arm over arm, to pray blessings over their future. Aimee and John want their lives to shine for Jesus. They incorportated worship into the ceremony that bound them as one and I love the words of the song they chose. “All my life, You have been faithful. All my life, You have been so so good.” And I think that sums up how full their hearts are today. It doesn’t mean everything in their lives has been easy. No way. It just means they know that no matter what, God is faithful. And they can live in peace and joy because of it.
