I think my favorite part of Matt and Amanda’s wedding day, was the way they could make each other laugh so easily. We had chatted on the phone a couple times, but I actually met them both for the first time that very day. They wanted that moment at the ceremony where they could see each other for the first time and so I met them separately. But, once I saw them together. Oh my heart. You could feel how much they cared about each other and how happy they were.
We started out the day at Amanda’s parents – just outside Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. As they busied around making the last minute adjustments to their hair and wedding attire, I couldn’t help but think how sweet it must be to get in ready in your parents home, surrounded by your family and closest friends and I hope Amanda took a moment to just soak it all in.
From their, we traveled to the Prairie du Chien Country Club where Matt and his groomsmen were putting on their ties and figuring out how to attach boutonnieres. The staff at the Country Club was doing a marvelous job arranging everything “just so” and it made for a perfect setting for their summer wedding.
During the golf course ceremony, their officiant told the story of how they met and now, as they’re lives are joined to one, some of their favorite things about the other and it was clear they were meant to be. Laughter. Tears. All of it.
