Oh where do I even begin. I’ve known Rachel since she was a small girl. In fact, I used to babysit her and her younger siblings from time to time. She has always been the perfect mix of sweet and strong. Watching Rachel grow into the young woman she is today has been such a joy! I don’t see them as often as I’d like, but love staying in touch and part of their lives through social media. And of course, senior photos and graduation parties!
I remember I was taking senior photos for her younger brother in Westby, WI and chatting with her Mom, Julie. Of course, I asked how Rachel was doing and she told me about this young man, Dan. She had a good feeling about him and after meeting him and witnessing their wedding I can see why. Dan – you seem like you will fit right into the Falker Family.
Rachel and Dan’s country wedding started at her small home church, the Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church, where the ladies outfitted up in their deep red/burgundy dresses and cowgirl boots and the fellows their jeans and boots as well. Rachel greeted me with a hug fit for a sister and I wouldn’t expect anything different from this girl with her heart full of love and joy. The church building was full of their friends and family gathered together to witness the ceremony of Rachel and Dan’s lives becoming forever one. After the ceremony, we drove through Viroqua and to Rachel’s family farm where we made sure some of their beloved cattle got to be in their photos and memories.
It was fun having my own family join us at the reception where we continued to celebrate with Rachel and Dan. I wish you both the absolute best in life and can’t wait to see what your future will hold. ♥
