Buddy and Julia had such a beautiful day at Celebrations on the River in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Julia’s own words were, “We got the best of all the worlds”. She was referring to the rollercoaster of emotions that the constant change of the weather forecast brought. Leading up to their day, my weather app said rain all day. But, God had other plans. We all kept refreshing our apps. Watching the forecast change. We ran out in the morning for their first look. Then the sprinkles came. We rushed back in and took some of their couple portraits inside. Then went back out to take some fun photos in the rain under umbrellas. Everything cleared off for their outdoor ceremony. Everyone was ready to roll with the punches and embrace the day however it decided to play out. And it played out perfectly.
Buddy and Julia’s relationship was so sweet to watch. Even from the outside looking in, it’s obvious that they are each other’s best friend. From sweet surprises to the way they stayed by each other’s side throughout the day. His arm around her while their witnesses signed the marriage license. Buddy gifting her the earrings that she then wore all day. They reassured each other that all would be fine, rain or not. Had fun with their wedding party together. Took a moment between the wedding and reception with just the two of them to take it all in. When Julia’s shoes were hurting her feet, Buddy carried her between photoshoot locations. They planned and executed an amazing first dance. And then continued to dance together as the night went on.
Buddy and Julia met their first night at college. They love watching movies/shows together, cooking, experiencing new adventures, hiking, biking, tennis, almost anything outdoors, baking, playing board games…everything. As long as they can do it together, they’re in! I can’t wait to see where life will take these two. I know they’re going to continue putting each other first and riding out life’s adventures, together.
